This all time classic describes my stance pretty well: https://lkml.org/lkml/2000/9/6/65 . Although I don't need a disassembler that often so my use cases are even less.

I was just about to make the exact same point. Housing is warfare. You'll find few friends. Be extremely careful with advice.

It's also incredibly potent for spreading propaganda. I doubt any of the big players want to give any of that power just yet :-)

These are pretty good and well put together . I highly recommend anything by Eric Lander https://www.edx.org/bio/eric-s-lander

While I do agree with the self improvement part of this, I also like to point out it's a different game once you start interacting with/organize people, as the Arabic saying goes: "The soul travels at the speed of a camel&quo

Welcome to big tech corp paranoia. Enjoy your stay! But seriously don't hold on to something that makes no sense to you whatsoever. I'm pretty sure management won't turn the boat for you especially at the scale of your compla

That's great. I use these myself on a daily basis, but it can turn into quite a grind, especially working with novel(to me) datasets.

The rich may not penny pinch..but they are already rich. It's a logical fallacy to assume a correlation. What would be really interesting is to trace their spending behavior while they weren't rich.

I mostly..don't. For one liners, I keep them in a git controlled org-mode file. But for everything else it's all over the place.

In that spirit even USB didn't get it on the first try. Maybe something along the lines of IPv6 1.1 will do the trick. I'd focus on simplification and killer features.

Been running Fairphone 3 for a while now. It's a really decent phone with easy battery access and that's exactly why I bought it. Would be so nice if this kind of design becomes the norm.

Depends on expectations. Coming from a traditional christian perspective everyone has the right to rebirth at any point in life. The sooner the better of course. Then it's all about following God. It is the persistence shown every day

To play devils's advocate: well, it might just very well turn out that what most humans are currently engaged in can very well turn out to be reducible to "big linear algebra functions slapped on top of a large processor".

If you have accounts one thing to do is to set a (unknown to users) daily comment quota. Set it to like 20 or something you consider very high and make an alert fire if someone reaches the quota. At this point the user shouldn't be abl
