Being from the south, I couldn't relate to anything in this article but I really enjoyed reading it. The author has a good writing style. Is this really the trichotomy of the Bay area? I thought it was interesting that none of these gr

I'm not in agreement or disagreement but I'm genuinely curious how you can embrace globalism without damaging your economy? I have found myself leaning more towards neo-liberalism in some aspects but I don't know how this pie

This was truly one of the greatest, if not the greatest, book on software that I have ever read. I have read it twice at this point and fully intend to read it many more times. It is packed full of incredibly interesting information and wri

I thought the exact same thing when I got the email. I would have much preferred a permission reset resulting in profiles being locked down tightly.

I didn’t read it as implied that Facebook isn’t used to subvert rival nations, I would fully expect it. Subverting rival governments is a part of life. Though I would imagine if Facebook wants to subvert the United States government they w

I personally would much rather Facebook succeed in this space. I’m extremely apprehensive about TikTok and how China is using the data. I’m fully aware that Facebook will collect data (possible the same data), but I believe the motives and

This was my first thought as well. It must have been an oversight on someone’s part. Maybe infrastructure changes due to the shift to work remotely made it possible to access.

Not sure if I’d pass for advance but I first used Linux two decades ago and have used it on and off since. I use Ubuntu because I’ve become lazy in my old age.

How are you managing to break apt not once, but "way too many times?" I haven't used Linux as a main driver in a decade but I do use it very frequently and I am intrigued by all the many ways people online seem to be able to
