All it takes is picking up a different product in the dairy aisle to stop it from happening, why not choose compassion? Pleasantness doesn’t make up for what the calf loses or their mother had to go through.

I think the best thing to try is universal basic income for those making less than X and then slowly getting phased out once you hit middle to upper class is best. People want to work but if the end up not getting enough to live while looki

I heard this discussed in NPR as a reasonable fine because “it hit their profits but they still made money that quarter” and “the CEO steppe down”. How is that enough when so many people had their life totally screwed? It should decimate th

It’s hilarious that people think Facebook could be held accountable. Senators didn’t say we need rules for privacy protection or that any specific response should be made by them to CA leaks, just a vague “do suff better or we might regulat

Okay, but google and Facebook have that sort of information on your audience and guess what, they can wittingly or unwittingly share it with others, which is a huge problem. And it’d be pure naïveté to think the government wouldn’t take adv

Have his actions done anything to show it's not relevant? He lead the company as a young man and is still pretty young. Reckless disregard for privacy has been a hallmark of his tenure.

CC is great and it’s awesome people find it so valuable but an equally important topic to explore is why college is not longer affordable for large parts of the population in the US.

I see why advertisers wouldn't like it, but how the heck isn't it good for users? You don't even have an explicit argument for that point, just the implicit "it might not be adopted." You're a bit disingenuous

I love how any defense of US military history often boils down to, “sure they did terrible things in the past, but we definitely learned from them.” I’m sure people have been saying that for decades if not centuries. Terrible things just ge

I think it's very important to consider the increase in military spending over the past decade and decrease in funding for universities. More and more funding in the military means more funding for specifically defense projects rather

I thought it’d be clear but I added clarification. Speaking up internally when you’re not on the board often doesn’t get much done. At least if it’s a moral objection.

How about a company where decisions are shared internally and employees feel empowered enough to speak up, *externally if needed, against what they see as an injustice when internally nothing is done? That shouldn't be too much to ask

Please don't try and spin the term "don't rock the boat." A company that brutally cracks down on leakers and has employees en masse calling them "people without integrity" is the epitome of that mentality. It&#
