Not necessarily true. The incidence rates of those are well-known. Rarer side effects are impossible to find by comparing vaccinated/unvaccinated in a phase 3 and need larger groups to be found. That’s routine, though. Look at the VITT

Any company that serves EU residents has to comply. If they block users from the EU, they don't have to comply. Fines can be massive (up to 2% global revenue). Nexstar might not have any European assets, but non-compliance might not be

The person reading can use their eyes to read a passport/photo ID ;) You don't need an app to do that.

The Dutch app will have two QR codes: a national one which does hardly contains any information - initials and day/month of birth - and the EU DCC which is discussed here.
