I don't doubt the self-interested nature of the Mercer landowners, but this line from the article is pretty disingenuous... > Near the Pennsylvania border, drivers have long been forced off the interstate and onto other roadways, on

It really reads to me like the people who wrote it still don't have the first clue how the network functions, or who has control over it. I also did not know the U.S. had a minister of anything.

You know this kind of goes right to the heart of the issue. The cloud providers are packaging up open source software into higher level services that have value... just like FB and twitter and everyone else that provides a service that we c

Possibly not? The high resistance splices are producing heat and at some point I believe they fail, which could affect the whole grid.

Years ago I spent a lot of time trying to convince some of our large bank customers that we could run their stuff on Windows NT instead of SunOS or AUX or whatever by noting that microsoft.com ran on NT. I'm not even sure if it was act

Absolutely agree with this. They have software that accurately takes care of so many fine details and at such a reasonable per-employee price point that you would have to be nuts not to use one as a small company. In fact it makes me believ

This is probably overall a healthy counter reaction to the counter reaction to the ridiculous decades-long federal position on the stuff. Marijuana is an intoxicant of sorts, although I use the word loosely here, not the cure for all ills.

Right, I think we're saying the same thing. If the node is properly configured an end-user pod should not be able to take down the kubelet.

If the containers in a pod request more ram than is available on any node in the cluster then the pod will fail to schedule and will remain in pending state, which can be seen in the events for the controller (replicaset, daemonset, etc) us

Yes, this is true on it's face: it's bad to deploy containers to k8s without appropriate resource limits. However, this should in no way affect the operation of the node, so the implied transfer of responsibility for this incident
