The problem is that Grewal, the owner of the house that was illegally sublet, isn't and never was Airbnb's customer in any sense of the word. There's no incentive to solve his problem and take down the listing. In fact, the i

I noticed this by accident on my iPhone 7+. If you take a picture of a figure with strong back lighting, then use the editing functions to bring up the shadows, it will look like this.

My experience with Hugo through v0.17 was that it takes ~1ms per post to generate. IIRc that was one of the major reasons why the author wrote, vastly increase the speed of regenerating the site.

There is a larger question as to whether that California law violates the US Constitution or not. I think not, but we will probably see what the USSC has to say about it. If he wanted less surfers traipsing across his property, seems like t

Pacific Legal Foundation is a non-profit in Sacramento that files lawsuits to push the law in ways that protect private property and personal freedom (as they definite it; I'm neither a fan nor a supporter but want to be neutral). They

This is written by someone who's never lived in LA. "Trains that run on the tracks" is a joke in a region with virtually zero effective public transport.

My suggestion to the developer would be to talk to the Pocket Casts people about offering the desktop client as an in-app purchase and share those revenues (easily traceable) with the dev. Maybe they could create a special authorization key

A minority shareholder can force a liquidity event. For example, the founder gives 5% to a valued employee who after vesting and several years of company growth gets a divorce. Husband wants his 50% community property interest in those shar

a car not having a driver isn't at all the same thing as a car not having an owner. The owner will care about cleanliness to precisely the same extent as its customers do.

Oh God no. Try to build something, anything in Manhattan. Ever heard of air rights? Those don't exist anywhere else but developers will pay millions just to add a single floor to their building.

Every lawyer who works in litigation would give an arm for something like this if it actually works. I spend so much of my time in "Track Changes" under Word and after three redlines it's basically incomprehensible.
