I think Lee is one of the biggest critics of Proton, and Valve embracing it as the default way to deploy games on Linux. From Valve's point of view makes complete sense, dedicate resources to a single point of development that improves

I mark as spam all emails coming from companies that don't have a link to remove the email from the account that triggered it because someone added it by mistake or maliciously.

I think the target audience for orthodox file managers are people that accept, or can live with, the consequences of irreversible file operations.

In my experience this is the best non TUI orthodox file commander available on *nix machines. The amount of dedication that was poured into it to make it as close to TotalCommander as possible is nothing sort of amazing.

Can you clarify? How is showing interest "genuflecting"? I understand how open-source has lowered the general threshold for having access to other people's work, but the entitlement your post exudes is a bit sickening.

No you can not apply via twitch chat, and again, there's no genuflecting. Stop listening the assholes with axes to grind. You can ask about it in twitch chat and probably get an answer, but I think you must show an interest more than &

I fail to see where I said anything about Blow's personality. :) I can despise the guy but still be impressed with his work ethic and accomplishments. If only righteous people are allowed to make things the world would be much poorer.

I didn't ask for evidence because I know for a fact that he is lying or misinterpreting things to an extent to be considered lying. Getting into the beta has nothing to do with being a good or bad programmer. It's not about Blow&#

OK, let's limit to just scooters being left obstructing traffic of pedestrians/vehicles. A scooter parking violation if you will.

The accusation is simple: the scooter is left in a place where it obstructs the passage of other vehicles/pedestrians. Pictures can be taken if need be, of course, but do you as a driver that receives a parking ticket require that the

You don't punish the individual, you punish the company. Then the company can access logs and pass the cost to the customer that violated the rules.

You see promotion, I see a guy that's excited about his project trying to give educational content to the next generation of developers. If it's promotion for anything I think it's rather for his sokoban like game.

I think that the only purely technical level complaint I have about the language, something that I haven't seen discussed in the docs but bit me because it worked differently than I expected is that return types are not part of a funct

I offered a very bird's eye view of what a newbie understood from the language, not a "unique selling point" because, like I keep failing to make you see, Blow is not trying to "sell it" to anyone.

From what I understood from Blow, a specification at this point would only serve to have other people bike shed about syntax, features, etc. Looking at the explanation you linked, I would say that the author uses the language in a very uni

I think it's not up to us, the peanut gallery, to judge what any particular developer spends their time on. It's worthwhile to Blow, and he is very vocal that he is developing the language for his own use, not for anyone else. If

To answer specifically about D, I think Blow considered it and couldn't get past the garbage collection (this is mostly inferred). As a matter of fact I heard of Jai through a presentation of Walter Bright's, so I'm pretty su

I bought a Tuxedo with one of the first Gen3 AMD processors available, and even though the machine it's mostly OK, the build quality and the battery are terrible. I have a Thinkpad P14s for work which is miles ahead on those fronts.

Yep, sadly Firefox requires external shims if you want to open binaries from the host machine (which in this case is the browser executable with a different profile).

It allows running multiple profiles at the same time. You can't open links from one into the others though, which I'm sure Chrome doesn't do either.
