Yes,for each await it basically generates a state machine. It's pretty crazy to think how much code you don't have to write by using "await".

For Windows the only terminal which matters is ConEmu. SSH clients like Putty are good enough.

I didn't really cared about not seeing the device case. They made public the specs ( 8 GB FTW) so that was more important than seeing a empty case.

Ironically the experience of using a modded PS3 (not connected to internet) with multiman (a PS3 homebrew app) is pretty nice. It's sad when modded > default.

It's Git AND Mercurial. Looks nice but i kind of doubt it will be better than TortoiseHg honestly.

No, it's not hard to "arrange" windows. We have tiling window managers for that.

For me. I like to use it as a tablet for the brilliant gesture based UI , as a ultrabook when i have to reply to a email and to plug in a monitor + real keyboard (104 keys or bust) when i'm doing development in Visual Studio.

This is the first machine ever build that works great as a tablet, ultrabook AND desktop replacement . One machine to rule them all.

I fucking hate the term "responsive design" because in reality nothing is "responsive". A shitty fixed 980px site will still look like crap on 1080p 24'' monitor. Calling it responsive just because the navigation menu is moved above the co

"Now Gecko is old, buggy and slow" Fuck off dude. A monoculture is ideologically bad in itself but at least you could come up with some tech args. Saying that basically nullifies the entire thing.

The "72 cores" is marketing drivel . The stream processors found in GPUs are not general purpose and certainly not equivalent to a cpu core. This number of cores remarks started to remind me of the gigahertz race between Intel, Amd and Cyr

I find it ironic to see the usual "follow me on twitter" at the end of the post. Yeah, people will bitch @twitter but nothing will change. Also, Twitter has 1500 employees. That's absurd.

"Every computer at a store today is fast enough for 99% of people." Nope. Shitty laptops with 5400 rpm old hdds, 2 GB of ram and old turion/core CPUs will NEVER be "fast enough".

Found some more info about this at http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2012/11/micros... .Apparently the won't kill the servers too so there's still hope of continuing with pidgin.

They kill the client or the protocol ? It's not really clear from the article. Don't care about the client itself (most IM clients suck anyway), that's why we have pidgin.
