Mozilla is not a merry band of hackers anymore. They're a bona fida corporation with its own agenda. Their agenda depends on having as many users as possible so they're trying to make everything they can for that. The free web, ch

A "app" running in a webview on a desktop is NOT "native". A Swing app is not native nevermind these web apps running in chrome.

VSO is pretty great actually. Private source control, bug tracker / agile planner thingababoo and build all in once place. With the possibility to auto deploy on Azure if you need it.

Tried it and found it very disappointing. Not sure why they decided to use the name "Visual Studio" for it. It's just text editor (although has a integrated debugger) built with Electron, performance is abysmal.

Actually on Windows we move windows across monitors with winkey+shift + arrows. Add a keybaord based window resizer to the mix and you have mouse free/pain free window management on Windows.

"Scala is the only language that I know of that marries the world of FP and OO" You can do that in C#/F# too. There's nothing special about Scala from this point of view.
