What I mean is you can’t just look at a board and know the ko “state” - but yes I’m sure in practice it’s not that important. Just my engineering brain picking up on it.

Just idly clicking through until I got to “Ko”. I had no idea Go was stateful!

I had a similar feeling in the Faroe Islands. Even in mid summer the weather was rather inclement. But the landscape was breathtaking, and the locals friendly in a low key way. I’d love to go back.

I’d say the same about East Anglia in UK, but in early ‘90s there was a tremor strong enough to notice. It was particularly strange then because you had to wait for the news on TV or radio to mention it. https://www.theguardian.c

What should one look for in an electric knife sharpener? It’s hard to search as there’s so much content farming. I’m UK based. Are they worth it compared to a simple “drag through” thing? I got a single decent knife: https://wus

What I’m trying to get at is why you posted that? It’s a post asking about what 3D printer to get.

Certainly we should be mindful of single-use plastic. For prototyping, PLA is biodegradable in the right conditions, and doesn’t come from petroleum. There’re all sorts of things 3D printing is good for. Do you think 3D printing shouldn’t b

This was my exact thought when I read about it. YouTube clearly has a record of what I’ve watched, because it’s in my watch history. What they are missing is proof I’ve watched the ads - which I haven’t.

Side note - “full-proof” is an eggcorn of “foolproof”.

Where do you get them for $5? Cheapest I can find is around £8 (11 USD), and it’s not clear if they have this chip.

I think another way of saying this is “commoditisation”.

In the UK, every 10W of 24/7 load is ~£25/year (33 USD). It’s very easy for even the small things to add up.

I got a mini PC with such a charger (Mele Quieter). I was so shocked I immediately put a label on the USB end with a stark warning not to plug into anything.

I wish Logitech upped the polling rate on their MX range of mice (when connected with 2.4GHz). It’s very noticeable seeing windows jitter around on a >100Hz screen. I had to settle for a “gaming” mouse to avoid this, but otherwise like t

What are the connectivity options between heztner dedicated servers? I see they allow you to pay to have in a single rack, with a dedicated switch. But does that introduce a risk of single point of failure in the rack power or switch?

When I was looking into this, I instead setup Proxmox on Hetzner (which you can do natively from ISO). From there it was much easier just using it for whatever I wanted, including K3S

Fascinating article. It prompted two questions for me: 1) With the level of expertise, would it be as easy, or easier, to modify the check in the malware itself? 2) How much work would it be for a something like KVM to fake absolutely every

Can you explain how you come up with such a prompt, especially the part with underscores?

Exactly. It’s not like you can even hear the absence of spaces in one or the other. It’s purely a writing choice.

I think the issue of German compound nouns is seriously overegged. In almost all cases, it’s essentially the same as English, except with some spaces. It’s not like suddenly a short compound word expresses something that couldn’t be in Engl
