Thank you! If only a single person finds something helpful there, it has been worth the effort already. So that's what I hope will happen. Apart from that, writing down things you've learned for yourself is pretty useful in genera

Thanks! Please note that the presented solution is both more efficient and more "secure" (i.e. "obscure", which is all we want here). It turns sequential IDs into non-sequential IDs, in addition to converting the base fo

But even after the device has detected the (B)SSID, you have to enable either Wi-Fi or your mobile data connection for the device to communicate with Google's servers. Still, just as worrisome.

Moving to a new email address (and taking all your existing mails with you to the new inbox) is actually far easier than changing phone numbers. Almost all (old) providers let you set up a mail forwarding (to the new provider). But even bet

In Firefox, you can control a lot via the `about:config` directives. You can put all that into a `user.js` for portability and reference, like this: https://github.com/delight-im/Secure-Firefox But unfortunately, there

Thanks a lot! This project is mainly targeted at presenting (read-only) documents, which includes displaying and printing invoices etc. I admit, the project description could have made this clearer. Basic editing is possible, which is w

Thanks, I didn't mean it's trivial , but it's not a hard technical problem (anymore) to do that on the web. Not sure if I'll be working on this, though, because there are so many (commercial) services providing this alr

Actually, it's a "gtkprint" feature. You don't have to install anything separately. But still something built-in into the operating system.

Thanks! That "Print to File" is provided by the operating system, not Firefox. I'm on Windows 7, where the operating system doesn't provide this. Yet Chrome provides it itself.

Yes, Windows 10 has this now, just as Ubuntu with its "Print to File". But Windows 7 and 8 don't have this feature.
