Disagree, Tumblr won because it of it's underlying attitude and commitment to creativity. Posterous never had that edge to it. I engaged with both platforms, and Tumblr, quite simply, felt cooler and fresher.

A three season HBO series I'd say. The actual evacuation, the event, and the reality a few years later. Directed by someone like Alfonso Cuarón (Children of Men). I know there are dozens of cheesy movies out their covering the subject, but

Inspiring story and noble cause. I just wish there was a bit more basic info for this. An photo gallery, a logo of the charity, a Twitter account to follow, i'd even like to donate to the cause, but can't see how :-( I want to engage.

Working on a portfolio site now and managed to convince the clients not to have any share buttons. It looks so much better.

An article like this coming from a site that has not updated it's UI in what looks like 6 or 7 years rings alarm bells for me. The UI of the blog is literally looking like a sore thumb, my eyes almost jumped at how different and compressed

This sort of thing is so pedantic, almost insulting to my intelligence. Do i really need a website to remind me how to get off the internet from some random hacker news guy with too much time on his hands? He's almost countering his own mes

Why are we even discussing an article from 2000? This is so irrelevant to todays Flash, and todays digital landscape? And what would the web have looked like before jquery, html5 etc came to the fore? We needed Flash. And could YouTube and

There's something inherently wrong about the headline of this. How did they get to such a high usage in the first place? They sacrificed performance for features, and now going back to clean up the mess. Not elegant. This is why I'm stickin

A high quality mattress and king size bed, quality (and ALWAYS fresh) bed linen, good duvets etc is the best investment you can make no matter what your income bracket is, everyone needs this. Totally agree.

I can't believe what I'm reading here. That font is awful. The x-height is too short in terms of ratio, the counters are squashed, the stroke width is far too fat. It looks totally clunky on my screen. And that page design?! Show some love
