I second this. I'm looking at writing my own for the restaurant, as frankly their prices are insane for the horrid quality.

As someone who is working with another chef to release their own cook book and associated app, this and the comments are immensely helpful. Thank you :-)

As a chef, please only people with passion, we have enough mediocre chef's, and really the pay is shit.

Privacy is the reason I'd prefer to do this in house.

Ahh this will be useful for my kitchen receipts. Thanks. Now I just need to roll that with an auto translator too.(I guess I have my day off project now :-) )

I really could have used this when I was teaching English at high schools. Thanks for the link, I will defiantly be sharing with mates still in the industry.

That's a really good idea. Now I'm thinking of other situations that could apply to.

This. I am only an amateur programmer, bit i often prefer the discourse over the article, to the article itself. Now I routinely check the comments first.

Look I'm an Aussie living in Japan, but I know what the EPA is. Someone please tell me this won't pass. I really hope not, and I hope this is a moon shot of a bill, as I know how much my original country and my new country follow

Which means it will happen most likely. Even techies make stupid mistakes, such as me not changing my Skype password the other day, and had the account breeched. Sigh

As is my 2gb unlimited in Japan. I can't imagine moving back to Aus. I am so disappointed at what they have done, it's a large reason we decided to stay here.

Auto translate. I live in Japan, but my reading ability isn't that good. So I have to rely a lot on translating by the browser. I use FF primarily on my smart phone, just chrome when I need to translate.

I was looking into this a while ago, i do remember there being a farm bot being kick started(1). I was wondering about doing something like that myself, but for a hydro solution for indoors - i am about to start at a new restaurant, so tha

They do here in Japan. But I am unsure if there is a login(from most examples I see here, I would assume they do though).

Hey thanks, ill look into that.

Huh, i'd love to see how their doing that - question though - is it from a specific place only? or are they screen scraping? I've gotten a lot more into this sort of tech lately, after a started getting requests for it :D

I made a couple of replies to some comments, but i thought i would do a little post of details about something like this. I worked on a similar system for star citizen, using the inbuilt windows voice recog system. At it's core, system

The problem with that is it requires information from the game (some of those commands), i was working on something similar for star citizen and was setting up screen scraping to get data (but insufficient interest, beta testers and 0 sales

I did, i couldn't get enough beta testers, and zero purchases after 6 months. Now i just use it for myself (also mine had on screen overlays and other advantages).

My wife reads it quite a bit. She isn't a tech, but she likes seeing what we all say about stories so we can talk about it later

Holy fuck. There's corrupt, but that's a new low. How the hell do we let people get away with this.

Well that's one TV. What about a pc dling games, an iPad streaming a different show, a data retrieval after a format etc. It can go faster than you would imagine when your not micro managing.

I'm saying that 1tb of data, once you have the speed available, runs out very quickly. If we can run without caps in Japan, there is no excuse for your isp's.
