Thanks, that makes much more sense. It's really misleading because most pairs of IEMs and earplugs do list the NRR in db. I routinely sleep in my SE535's, which offer 37db NRR (I looked it up after seeing their 70db claim).

How do things like bugcrowd (and bug bounties in general) work from a legal point of view? It seems very risky to go poking around without some kind of formal contract with the target.

I think the author is treading a fine line between "nice person" and "confidence man", maybe without realizing it. He's describing social engineering, and I have no doubt that it's a very effective strategy. &

I wonder if that kind of fingerprinting would work for wifi transmissions?

Maybe offtopic, but just a quick question about "You can use a wired Xbox controller (recommended)". Why not wireless? I thought they were the same from Windows point of view.

I don't think you missed anything. I don't see any reason to trust blackphone more than a properly configured Nexus. The OS might have some neat UI for privacy stuff, but fundamentally if it's closed source and has a closed

I backed them on kickstarter and got my dev kit as a result. I'm really unhappy about FB being the first to bring VR to the masses, but it doesn't have anything to do with kickstarter.

I was in this session and the biggest take away I had was that the ACLU and Snowden believe a technical solution is possible to end mass surveillance, but they aren't concerned with individual targeted surveillance. I think this was

I never thought much about it until now, but accurately proportioned dolls are uncanny and creepy. I wonder if that's why Barbie wasn't accurately proportioned to begin with.

I don't think most people are aware of what can be done with a good usenet provider and sickbeard. Perhaps it's for the best.

That's probably why, but I only made it about 30 seconds into the first video before I had to turn it off. Maybe I'm in the minority, but listening to kids present anything really frustrates me.
