Does this mean YC will start accepting malicious startups? Something like a marketplace for 0days?

Let's make a movement to call W "wub". It uses its own sound, it is one syllable, and it sounds like "dub" (as in "double U"). As a bonus side effect, "www" will sound like dubstep.

Just because you can't perceive individual pixels doesn't mean you can't perceive higher quality. Imagine if you wanted to draw a human hair to scale, you would need some small pixels to make that look good. However in most s

Good job, but I have one small suggestion: the name colors should be seeded by the name value, so people are always the same color. That's what IRC clients do so you remember people a little better.

Wow, this video and the game are bringing back memories. This is the first experience with a computer I can remember. I didn't really realize what I was doing at the time, I would have been 2 or 3. Thankfully my dad cared enough about

The OCR is really useless. I tested it with some reddit "advice animal" memes (because there is a need for transcriptions). You would think that text is pretty simple and easy, but the output I got was like: /\n\nnmrs w

I found the idea that one person can make a huge difference really interesting, I will have to start experimenting with this myself. All the roads OP wrote about are where I drive, but the Lynnwood ramp he talked about recently got expanded

When you made that comment, it was the middle of the night here. Everyone was online at USA after-work hours. The reason the world was near-pristine was because I messed up the storage for this deployment, which made so every once in a whil

I am leaning towards opensourcing it, but we don't want to do it too soon unless we realize we want to do a PaaS sort of thing.

Well it's not technically Minecraft, but obviously heavily inspired. I'm pretty sure I heard about someone hooking it up to the real protocol.

That isn't an MMO, it is just a server hosting service. However, if they wanted to add MMOs to Realms, they could acquire us. ;)

I plan on open sourcing it and trying to foster a community of modding/contributions, but first I would like to clean up the code. Also, we want to figure out our business strategy.

I don't think counting commits is a good metric, because I know if it were me, I would start splitting my commits up into trivial changes in order to meet the count ("added comment", "added line break", etc). It supports going by issues, wh

My only criticism is that there a million modals you have to go through, and some are even multi page, adding complexity. I would rather have fewer modals/pages that show more text at once. But overall, this is super handy, great idea :)

This makes sense, because companies that don't take VC funding are the ones that didn't need it because they were turning profits from the start. However, there are a LOT more companies that don't get VC funding and never succeed.
