There is a project by Fernando Borretti for Lisp-style macros in C, with macro expander written in Common Lisp: https://github.com/eudoxia0/cmacro , and a collection of basic macros: https://github.com/e

In Plan9 one could create clean separate filesystem and run unsafe program there, or, make a filesystem server which logs each of ~20 api calls of 9p protocol, since they are all you have to manipulate files.

Wow, combining map and '+ is so great, I can't wait when you'll find out something serious, like restart system, CLOS, reader macros and many other things availible in CL since ~1990.

They should not be a part of language, what for? Everything else you mentioned is about community only, and doesn't apply directly to the language. E.g. if you have a good language without a community, community can eventually grow, bu

OCaml, Haskell and friends will give you best FP insights. Common Lisp is far beyond these categories =)

btw, your question assumes that Common Lisp is not evolving. This is not correct at all. Which improvements Clojure evolving consists of? Transducers? Cl got them too: https://github.com/aamedina/transducers Transacti

Yes, but "modern" OS'es have heavy processes, in other words they save registers, stack pointers, other process related things and restore them on every process switch. I'm not sure what makes real difference to Erlang&#

Preemption. Erlang VM counts each instruction per process and uses it's own scheduler to switch processes, all other implementations of lightweight processes can't do this without implementing their own erlang.

Yep, but my key point here is the syntax baked into the language itself.

There are many articles on lisp that explain that in lisp you can try out many things in a few evenings and find suitable solution. In this way you shouldn't be smart enough to make an ideal, general design in one turn, but you will fi
