I think what he meant with those words was that experts think it's impossible to create such a backdoor and keep it 100% safe from being leaked or exploited by bad actors. Which I think we all here can agree with.

To people saying "UK" as a selling point, doesn't ING work in the UK as well? I'm not saying ING is the future of banking by all means, but they're pretty much (totally if you want) office-less.

I had no idea about your Sweden claim so I looked it up. From [1] the only similar thing I can read is related to The Legal Prescription Program, which IMO is very different than "legalizing drugs (or just heroin)". Basically, the

Considering Europe's experience with high denomination notes, I strongly think this is a bad idea. In fact, Europe is considering eliminating €200 and €500 notes, since they're mostly used for illegal activities. Example: 75% of t

I suggest you start with HeadSpace, it's an app with zero spirituality or religion, and IMO killer content (if I'm not mistaken, the voice of the videos is that of the founder himself, who used to be a monk). Most of the content y

I agree. Although "I'll go meditate on that" can also be an expression meaning "I'll think about it". Nothing wrong with that, but it's true it leads to people having a misconception of what meditation is

Your last statement really resonates with my experience. The effects of meditation are indeed subtle but powerful. And I also vouch for Headspace.

A lot of time? I'd say 30 minutes a day (consistently) is enough to get significant benefits. And after all, don't we all easily waste 30 minutes a day or things which really don't contribute much to our lives? Say, browse re

I think the key issue is that, if an investment bank fails and takes all of its investors money with it, well that's kind of like a startup failing. Investors know the risk. But right now, if a bank fails due to its bad investments, it

This is awesome. One observation: maybe in this case, including the number of subscribers is actually a deterrent for getting people to subscribe. I'm talking about the "Join over 1100 subscribers." line. You may be triggerin

I'm not sure if Hailo works like MyTaxi, which is quite popular in Barcelona (specially since Uber got banned). Personally, I don't like it. It's just an app that replaces calling a taxi company. So yeah, better than calling,

Also, I wonder: didn't Valve used to have a normal hierarchy years ago? You know, back when they used to ship stuff? I'm genuinely curious to find out if that's the case. If that's true, then it seems that Valve only &qu

I think that 1000 figure comes from a statement they made along the lines of "one day we could be funding 1000 companies through this Fellowship program". I don't think they had a figure in mind for this batch.
