Apps are required to be notarised. You can turn the requirement off, but that doesn't negate its existence. I hope you and your mother are happy living without open source software. No good deed goes unpunished.

For me the last straw was notarization. I am not going to beg for permission to release software for Apple's platform. Considering the dire state of the Mac software scene Apple should be the ones on their hands and knees begging devel

Ads denying climate change should not be accepted by Facebook. That's a perfect example of untruthful advertising.

But it's considered good practice in Haskell to keep IO out of the main logic of the program and basically use it as little as possible. Haskell is certainly not an IO-focused language like Go and Rust. The IO monad is almost more of a

I find this incomprehensible. It's a disease. What does it matter if it is bacteria, eukaryote or virus? Medicine involves killing things that interfere with us and hopefully eradicating them completely. The whole "mosquito extinc

Having no visible toolbar / address bar is actually a pretty neat idea. When you think about it, it's not necessary for advanced users - it need only be shown when the user wants to interact with it.

How is that measured? I would think it would be rather hard to measure an activity that is illegal and clandestine. Also 'trafficking' is a term that needs a precise definition as it means different things to different people.
