Cars are high-price, low-volume goods, and Tesla loves automating their factories. If you're making a car you don't want low regulation, you want highly qualified labor, and stable and predictable regulation.

In general our bodies evolved for a certain environment. Simple sugars were present in that environment (fruit, honey) but not at high levels. Our bodies are highly adaptable but when you start consuming orders of magnitude more sugar than

The source of complexity is in the problems C++ is designed to solve. I use C++ metaprogramming for problems that require it. Sure, Boost is full of metaprogramming insanity, but with today's C++ standard library it's not necessar

I have found with typescript that having a gradual, structural type system actually helps with quick and dirty prototyping, as it allows me to notate data structures. It's hard to find a reason to use JavaScript. Note that type error

This is the putting one's head in the sand methodology of programming lanaguge design. Go's answer to metaprogramming is source code generation. There are many problems with C++ but the existence of the template system isn'

Not stating a limit doesn't mean there's NO limit. It means the limit is implementation defined. If the way you interpret a spec implies a requirement of infinite memory or infinite stack, then the way you interpret it is wrong.

In England we solve this problem by enumerating the allowable reasons upfront. - You know the defendant. - You know the victim or one of the witnesses. - You know someone in the court room such as the lawyers, judge, etc. - You have close f

It was a crisis that was resolved through international action. I'm not really sure what your point is. That we don't have to worry about global warming because countries are going to work together to stop it? I wish I had your op

The hole in the ozone layer was stopped because countries got together and signed a treaty to ban CFCs. It is the most successful example of international collaboration on an environmental issue ever.

Yes I was bullied (UK, middle class). The teachers were powerless to do anything if they didn't see, and few bullies are stupid enough to assault you when teachers can see. Nobody ever taught me that I had a right to defend myself. T
