If there are network problems everything fails anyway, so it's not really an issue in production. In the end, it depends on your skillsets. Most developers can't deal with a lot of complexity, and a monolith is the simplest way to

Web sockets have their own issues that can be/are implementation dependent. For example, some websocket servers don't pass back errors to the client (AWS). That makes it quite difficult to, say, retry on the client side. Chunked e

You need those senior folks who can see the big picture, whether you use monoliths or microservices. The real benefit of a microservice is that it's easier to see the interactions, because you can't call into some random and unexp

Parts of 1.1 are pretty complicated if you try and implement them. Parts of it are simple. The whole section on cache is "reality based," and it's only gotten worse as the years have moved on. Anyway, back in the day Content-

Chasm is more about the meta process of sales and product. It's not really about sales per se. It's worth a read just to understand it, but it won't help you with sales. It might help when your sales dry up, but 'tractio

The problem with hetzner, or any point solution, is that at some point you will saturate your bandwidth - either on the network or storage side. Maybe it's worth front-ending it with cloudflare free, just to see/measure cache hits

Range requests means work and logic. Getting a file requires no logic. Also, I'm pretty sure range requests are going to be difficult to cache. That implies going to origin every request which is bad.

I worked with a company that wrote its own protocol for Ethernet and got almost wire speed. It was worth it for 10, but not worth it at 100mbps. You can always beat general purpose solutions like the TCP/IP/UDP stack if you try. F
