Opus is too superficial for coding (great at bash though, on the flipside), I‘d recommend giving Codex a try.

That's completely wrong. Electricity (standard): 33.34 p/kWh Heating oil (gas oil): 10.54 p/kWh Kerosene: 6.20 p/kWh Mains gas: 7.68 p/kWh https://www.nottenergy.com/advice-and-tools/project-ene

I don't buy your numbers. I'm in Western Europe myself, and have run those numbers multiple times. Kilowatt for kilowatt (COP adjusted) gas is always cheaper than a heat pump.

Yes, and many places have high electricity costs. And btw, those are hard to foresee, so if you make a long term investment into a heat pump that is supposed to last 20-25 years, you have no idea how electricity prices will affect you. That

Climates that need a hot tank of water to buffer for heat pumps, will not have meaningful solar panel output during winter. Or do you mean, just load the battery when electricity is cheap? A tank of water is 1k max, probably 10% of a sodium

Certainly not gas or oil, which are still cheaper to heat with than heat pumps.

Those are great for buffering only a few hours though. That would help avoid the expensive electricity price peaks.

Such black and white thinking. Even the little tools fall apart at first sight of an edge case if they are fully vibed. Neither Opus nor codex are good at architecture, and it’s not clear they ever will be.

I wonder what the role of inflammation in all this is. It must be a major disrupter (or the effect?) of such electrical comms, with all these cytokines and fluid influx changing things around.

I’ve even built my own todo tool in zig, which is backed by SQLite and allows arbitrary levels of todo hierarchy. Those clankers just start ignoring tasks or checking them off with a wontfix comment the first time they hit adversity. Codex

My experience with both Opus and GPT-codex is that they both just forget to implement big chunks of specs, unless you give them the means to self-validate their spec conformance. I’m finding myself sometimes spending more time coming up wit

My experience is that such one-shotted projects never survive the collision with reality. Even with extremely detailed specs, the end result will not be what people had in mind, because human minds cannot fully anticipate the complexity of

Why don’t you try it, it’s 2 minutes to setup (or tell Claude to do it), and it uses your CC Max sub if you want. Some advantages: - Faster because it does no extra Haiku inference for every prompt (Anthropic does this for safety it seems)

Better, yes, but cheaper - only when looking at API costs I guess? Who in their right mind uses the API instead of the subsidized plans? There, Opus is way cheaper in terms of subsidized tokens.
