Geometry shaders are not part of base Vulkan. They're an extension.

Does it really matter that it's only 17 lines if they're dense, undecipherable APL See page 210 in the pdf.

Isn't 'VK_EXT_fragment_shader_interlock' kind of like programmable blending? Or Raster-order-views in DX land. This is a great example of using it: https://vulkan.org/user/pages/09.events/vulka

The search field is just a rudimentary command line. Reminds me of CAD programs which do have a more fully fledged command line but also incredibly dense ribbons/toolbars.

A WebGL transform feedback shader would be 100% as performant as what you could write in WebGPU for this use case (independent particle updates).

Every shader depends on both the driver version and the model of your GPU itself. Which means a lot of shaders. I think Valve had a version of it though but not without issues (GBs of shaders to be downloaded)

How would rust help you when you're executing jitted code (ie assembly)? The fizzbuzz code would run in rust but the event handler would still be unsafe jitted code.

How is reusing a freed index not a UAF? If I roll my own allocator I can still get UAFs even though the memory accessed is not yet free'd.

I meant instead of casting the vtable pointer and guessing the layout (imagine doing that in a large codebase...), just define the struct yourself and disallow the virtual functions in this case specifically if you're chasing the perfo

Just go all out C-style, forgoing any virtual functions and instead only use struct-of-pointers instead of this weird construction.
