Doesn’t crypto have a gas fee or something that would cost more than most micropayments to begin with?

I'm not sure why this just got posted (to Godot's website, not HN) today, I've been supporting them through their new fund for a month or two now already.

The apple silicon laptops don't use the butterfly keyboard, they reverted that change.

My college information assurance class was just… do the exercises on this website that you could already do on your own for free, but it’ll go on your transcript. I never met the professor for that class a single time. Props for completely

As long as it uses blink, it’s harmful to the open web.

I’ve basically completely stopped using notion after they crammed “AI” in there with absolutely no option to turn it off without a business tier plan (even more $$$ than the personal). If I want to use chat gpt I’m gonna open that in a comp

I definitely recommend GDScript, especially if you are using Godot 4 / GDScript 2. The language was designed to be used in Godot to make games, and in my opinion it’s very good at that. The editor integration is great, defining export

The issue is needing to look away from the road. If I don’t know what the button will do right now because it arbitrarily changes, that’s just as much of a problem.

I had to log in and look around my old account, revisit the silly projects I made when I was 9 years old. Scratch wasn't my first exposure to programming (that would be batch scripting) but I still remember how fun it was to use and ho

I find it...mildly disconcerting that a calculator app where one of the key motivations is "it's a hassle to copy + paste things in" just chucks whatever you enter into eval().

An important point: rust bindings for GDExtension are community lead, and not officially supported by the Godot team.

Because the code iterates per character, not per pixel. If a pixel's value is '7' and in the redacted zone, the program will iterate over the single character and output '0'. If the pixel's value is actually &#

If I open up word and print out something with a black font color on standard paper, that printed document won't have completely black ink on a completely white paper. Things that are 100% black and 100% white don't actually exist

There's Pixelorama[1], a web-based pixel art editor. Haven't really used it but it looks pretty impressive. 1: https://orama-interactive.itch.io/pixelorama

Fortunately, those concerns are all, if not fixed, then much improved in Godot 4. Just a couple weeks ago, they increased GDScript 2.0 perf by a lot, the type system is much more present (typed arrays, real enums, exported custom resources)

I don't think the Godot foundation is what's meant to handle porting to consoles and integrating with closed source libraries. You're probably thinking of W4 Games, started by the Godot founders: https://w4games.co
