In the US you can buy national ad spots on major channels pretty cheaply (couple hundred $ per spot) if you buy "remnant" inventory. Basically that means that the network hasn't sold all of their "run my ad in the 9:22am

Young men aren't at a disadvantage at all. They are still greatly advantaged, just to a very slightly lesser degree than before. It's like a basketball game where a team was ahead by 45 points at the half. Now they are ahead by &q

You are correct, but I think the original comment is more geared to the idea that you probably shouldn't revert back to what you are comfortable with and jump in and start coding when there are bugs, or tight deadlin s, etc. I do think

434,000 people ride Bart everyday in the Bay Area. But 270,000 cars still cross the Bay bridge every day and another 112,000 cross the golden gate. And obviously there's everyone driving up/down the peninsula. I generally agree th

Implicit code is great for frameworks. The kinds of things you have to do over and over again and a lot of the things Rails is great at. Create a database table, link it to an ORM, take params from a POST request, save them to that table..

Lots of interesting ideas in the book spread out through a really mundane story. The best part of the book for me is the chapters with the New York Citizen telling us the history of the city and how it got to be to where it is in 2140. Th
