I think it /should/ portray me as a perfectly normal person who works hard during the day and then relaxes at home at night. God forbid you should have some time to yourself after working for 10-12 hours at work!

Is there a clock, different than the clock app, that I'm not aware of? I'm using the iOS 6 Gold Master and the icon my clock app does not look like that at all.

I didn't mean to imply you could do it everywhere. I was specifically replying to the part about "MUNI" in the parent comment. The geo data for current MUNI positions is public data. So if you are making an SFMUNI specific app, there's no

Because its nicer to work on and use than a cramped and cheap net book. But, if that works for you it would be fine. Me? I'm going with the nicer hardware even if I'm just using vi and terminal.

We use the git commit hash of the checkin that is pushed to production as part of the folder structure for our assets. Has worked really well for us. It does mean we use more space on s3 though, but it guarantees we won't miss re-seeding s

Re point 3. The article mentions a letter from Chemtura saying that there were 1400 deaths from furniture fires in 1980 and only 600 in 2004. So what that actually means is we've saved 800 or less lives a year for the past 3 decades while e

Fraud definitely exists, but paypal should give more leeway to customers they know aren't fraud. Yes, this customer could, all of a sudden, turn into a fraudster, but there has to be a way to combat that without being so openly hostile at

It's also all kind of broken for me in a 1024x768 window. Scrolling the article scrolls it over top of the title but under the bar below the title. meh. Good for wildfire!

I use the sparrow Mac client and love it. I keep it on the top left of my 27" iMac screen about and it's roughly 350px wide by half the screen tall. Twitter sits underneath it at the same width/height. It only has 2 email accounts linked

Observers are one of the worst possible solutions because they lie outside the purview of, well, everything in the system. You don't ever see them in the code. You don't know they are there. They are pieces of unicorn code that have side

That sounds crazy to me. Are you able to get a clearance of any kind? If you are eligible then there should be thousands of jobs in the DC area to choose from. Of course, those aren't super exciting startup-like jobs, but they are places w

The other reason it's there is to detect scrolling instead of simply touching. If you don't move your finger in those 300ms then it's a tap, if you do then it's a scroll. This tweak breaks that.

The problem with interface builder is that it only exposes some properties and others you have to set in your class anyway. Why can't I set the background image of a view in interface builder, for instance? With RubyMotion you get to rough

No, it doesn't, and it is the thing that I miss the most going from Ruby to Obj-C. All of the other benefits of ruby over obj-c are great, but it's the interactive shell that is the highlight of RubyMotion to me.
