There was alot of rumours that they would eventually make this their mobile device OS. By cutting 16%, you're probably realigning goals of the project, and I wouldn't be surprised if those 16% cut are to shift away from making thi

C# with blazor makes it really easy. You don't need to leave Visual Studio or deal with weird backend/frontend issues. It's all one application, and things are done on the frontend through C#, so it's all a single langua

What services though? I've done enterprise software systems and in the developer position, if it did break, they just rolled everything back. It's been genuinely years, but is that not common? I can kind of understand in game serv

Ok, genuine question. I've been in a pretty niche field my entire career. But i've never worked more than 30 minutes a day unless I want to. Is it normal for people in some Dev roles to really do "Crunch" let alone actua

You keep seeming to come back to "needing the source code.". You know you can reverse engineer a program extremely easily right? Especially a C# one? It's really not the gotcha you think it is. And you can easily see from heu

The end result you see in the VR headset, or the games/worlds arn't really the goal. AI, and VR tech don't pay out right now. But AI is rapidly developing and Meta is one of the leaders in AI research. We could easily see cha

It doesn't. Use C#, Java, or even python. If you're low level and dealing with low level code and constructs, you're better off using C, or C++ just for the language features like templates. Rust is genuinely only useful for

Exactly, the developers of Defender decided it needed to lock the file, arguably for alot of reasons. To prevent tampering etc, it's an antivirus, it doesn't want you to be able to bypass a scan of a file, or change it. Windows ha

This is by design though, if another process has a lock on a file, they don't want you to delete it, since it could break another process. They actually do allow it if the applications open it with the createfile flag FILE_SHARE_DELETE
