Overwatch difficult? I can see Chess.com being a relevant "game" that builds reserves. But is Overwatch mentally draining in useful ways? It's a twitchy sort of game, and if you aren't doing team vox communication there

Exactly. It's a highly competitive world & it's hard to imagine how long we can continue with "1970s" style government: a decade to approve new bridges, out of control public unions, confiscatory tax rates, NYC subwa

I think the most important thing here is that we stop to think about the gender normativity of the unidentified person's use of the term "guy" in "where's this guy going." /sarcasm

I think this is a common misconception. Various tests have asked ordinary people to determine what wine is expensive and what isn't. They can't. (Also, if people know a wine is expensive, they don't enjoy it more. They enjoy

Agree. Not to mention the most obvious point: actual military cooperation hasn't been needed –– not in many years –– in order to show giant explosions, cool jets, or slick military bases. I don't think I've ever read a FOIA-b

You may wish to state that you can (or can't) prove that the Gmail account is yours, and that you opened the Gmail account personally. I believe Gmail provides a discrete set of one-time keys upon account generation.

My mother has exactly one way to get to the Nordstrom e-commerce site: search Google for Nordstrom, and then click on the first authoritative-looking Nordstrom search result, which is an AdWords ad, landing her at the home page. Seems expen

Spectrum isn't free because it isn't free. That isn't a tautology, it's a statement of fact: spectrum has a dollar value. In nature. In nature it's got a price. Because men will trade, or pay, or war for it. Therefo

It isn't a popular opinion, but my feeling is that publishers' power in the marketplace is severely underestimated. For those of us on HN who do use Facebook, the content experience is pretty similar: a few juicy friend updates pe
