This looks really awesome for managing an office. We're currently automating things using Google scripts and other custom glue to do things like order food, get feedback on lunch and mail people weekly digests activities. Sounds like t

Sad but true. I've been part of startup teams who spent an embarrassing amount of time choose, customising or changing project management tools. None of it seemed to have mattered at all in retrospect. Now we start off with a whiteboar

His view is that there will be two accelerators left in the world – YC and the few that manage to survive on investing in startups created by the people who didn’t take it into YC. It seems strange that he's focusing on YC if he'

Static analysis (and other "expensive" techniques) should really be standard on something as critical as OpenSSL. If I compare the effort we've had to go through building things that are allowed into a banking environment the

Wow - this seems really big: It basically means that someone was scanning the Internet for this vulnerability on 23rd March 2014 already. Maybe even before. That's two weeks before the vulnerability was published. edit: I guess I

If they are stupid but shouldn't be enforced, the place to fix is to have the law removed IMHO. Police judgement shouldn't be the solution to bad laws. It's a band-aid that can cause serious long term damage I think.

Officials say these bans aim to prevent nuisances that can be created by those living in cars, and most are enforced only on a complaint basis. Nothing scares me more than comments like that from government officials. A law that is select

Unless they drop the price soon we're going to move away from them. It sounds silly to argue over $15/user/month, but in comparison to Google Drive it's just started feeling too expensive. I really like the product, but

Really cool that you can reach that kind of valuation with a basket of products, rather than a single run-away network effect fueled win. I find it very inspirational that they do that well by building great software that people love. also:

The idea of turing complete crytocontracts is super exciting, but I understand why Satoshi didn't add a turing complete language in Bitcoin. Turing complete contracts add a whole new level of complexity (e.g. http://en.wikip

The idea of inexact computing seems to be gaining a lot of traction over the past few years. The HyperLogLog data structure reminded me of the research at Rice University on inexact processors: http://www.ece.rice.edu/~al4&#
