It would have nice to see them compare salaries and cost of living in these hubs.

The vast majority of education funding comes from the states, so cutting federal funding won't really have much impact. "That means the Federal contribution to elementary and secondary education is about 8 percent" - https:&

He is correct in a way. As long as the government is trying to "control" the economy, it will be "politicized". The only way to not "politicize" the U.S. economy is to get rid of the Federal Reserve, etc.

I don't think that the rarity of starvation in modern times is due to central banks, but instead due to advances in farming that allows a very small percentage of people to produce enough food for everyone. Physicians don't think

I don't know who defined this originally, but the six characteristics that money needs to have are durability, divisibility, portability, acceptability, limited supply, and uniformity. Additionally, money needs to serve as a store of v

Why does money need to be managed and controlled? Real money inherently has a limited supply, so there is no need for it to be managed or controlled; the market does that on its own. However, the fiat currencies that are used by central ba

If you just want to make a simple Windows Forms application, I'd just use .NET (VB or C#). If you don't have Visual Studio, you can download the Express version for free.

I'll probably get a bunch of down votes for saying this, but anyway... I suspect that is has a lot to do with the varying IQ distributions between the genders. Females tend to be closer to the mean, whereas males have wider variance.

At the end, the article says: "If dieting doesn’t work, what should we do instead? I recommend mindful eating — paying attention to signals of hunger and fullness, without judgment, to relearn how to eat only as much as the brain’s wei

We don't need unions for that (and I certainly don't want unions either). I work as an R&D manager/software architect and I simply don't work more than 40hrs per week. It just takes some self discipline and efficien

It doesn't have an 'online' side... which is one of the main points. Why does a word processor need to be online?

I'm not a car connoisseur like the guys in the article, but I appreciate beautiful cars. I'm an 'old' Millennial though... I drive a 2011 Synergy Green Camaro 2SS. I got my license as soon as I turned 16. I've al

It's cool to see this kind of stuff. I used simulated annealing for my thesis on cellular network optimization back in college. Haven't used any algorithms like this since then, but they have their uses.

LTE has handover capabilities with CDMA, EvDO, GSM, and UMTS. The handovers are simpler for GSM and UMTS though since LTE is also a 3GPP standard.

If you're riding your bike on the road, I think you need to follow the rules of the road. Otherwise, get off the road. I've seen way too many cases where cyclists make the roads more dangerous for everyone.

I only have two: Brighthouse (basically TimeWarner) or AT&T Uverse. In the US, most broadband companies are issued local monopolies or duopolies on service, so there's little or no competition.

Mobile carriers, at least here in the US, are extremely limited with backhaul. They can support high burst speeds, but they can't handle high traffic loads. That's one of the reasons why the data caps are so low on mobile (e.g.,

Bitcoin does not meet the requirements for being money (neither does the US dollar or Euro or Yuan, etc). It definitely has the potential to change the future of currencies and banking though.

Like you, I hardly ever maximize windows. I have Win8.1 on my work laptop and the only reason I didn't reformat it is because of StartIsBack. With StartIsBack, I basically get all the benefits of Win8 with very few of the drawbacks.

The first thing I did after getting Windows 8/8.1 on my new laptop was to install StartIsBack and disable all the Metro/Modern UI stuff. I find it very annoying (especially in a non-touch environment). I'm fine with Mozilla
