Ah you mean apple can't stop producing in China quickly. Well that's what you get for putting all your eggs in the same red basket.

I certainly enjoy being able to access my phone as a USB drive from linux, being able to put an sd card and run (real) firefox. Wouldn't want an iPhone. I think this kind of capability will be more and more relevant.

Good luck producing iPhones without the chips, which are not made in China and have at most a few weeks worth of stock, I'd guess.

I don't see it as more modularisation -if I understand that word correctly - there are less configurable elements than on a PC it seems. What can you substitute here that you can't on a pc ? Or maybe it's the fact that you ca

Tiny question about lox : does it support arrays ? I understand it might not be that interesting as a concept so its removed from the example language to keep it smaller, but I was wondering if I missed anything ? If not, how would those be

on a core i5 you can use lz4 and compress LZ4 for a ratio around 2 at 370 MB/s (ans decompress it faster) - for one core.

I think what is unique here could be the "on-the-fly, transparent". But this kind of compression can be better achieved I think with one core of your CPU, plaintext compression of 3x shouldn't need lzma (and if you really nee

Ok but sometimes you don't care or encourage this as long as you don't have to support it for free. And you even expect companies not to be assholes taking but not giving back - not enforcing but if it's the nth ticket or bug

Sure, revenue != greatness. But a small number of users who find a product should have a minimum viable set of high quality features to be useful can also be right. Case in point : the iPhone. it's a ipod/a (crappy compared to a

Are you talking about inkscape SVG which also save many details for inkscape or raw/small svg saved by inkscape ? Those if needed could use a patch if theyre too big and there are low hanging fruits

As a dev, I can relate to working overtime for a small eater egg, or even if I were a manager I could understand those (security implications notwithstanding) if it would boost morale or team cohesion better than an akward social event.

I didnt say that arduino does not work on other boards or that atmega328p are the best. I said that if you say runs on an arduino it means runs on a 328p, same as you can say I can run faster than a Ferrari (keyholder)

If we're talking about the language, we're talking about the standard, of which there is only one. Having many different compilers (and legacy code!) can indeed render the process of standardization hard (but needed), and legacy c
