What night base consumption is absolutely vital ? I understand that some of the consumption is necessary to function and that some other is made possible by the fact that fossil energy is as expensive to generate at night and that it's

Lets copy this article under my domain name, attribute it to me and link to it on hackernews. Plagiarism withdraws many incentives to create (not only financial) and is therefore morally wrong. Copying memes is good since it allows confront

Sure, but the more language that you may not use to write perfectly fine programs but have to know to know the whole language the more it seems superfluous. (See the whole drama over walrus operator). Python has accumulated a bit of rust a

There is a do not call list (i don't know how it compares to Robinson). It's called Bloctel. But it's not really effective.

Why would go and c which have static typing suffer from type errors ? Why would go that has a data race checker and quite good concurrency primitives be more prone that rust ? Rust seems to have its merits but I find the parent post more le

I'd say I wont scan manually at 10 scans per seconds. I'd say 2 seconds per scan, which would be 1.5kbps. Not that much but quicker than typing.

I think that manu of C issues come from the APIs rather than the language. You could do safe memory management by only using refcounts in the api and sticking to it. You could have bound checking in the strings library. But strings are 0 en

Yes it's important to keep separate things that could be seen as duplicate but the meaning of which is different and will evolve differently. By example paying user and delivery user or provisioning an IP address and a physical server.

An interesting choice is RIFF. This generic binary format was used from amiga to pcx (paint) to wav files and have the same structure and building blocks, made of chunks with different headers. Or just use sqlite or json.
