Very different. That was the .NET I knew in college, .NET Core really changed the game. I personally use CLI just for EF Core (ORM) but Rider support is there so you're not tied to VS. My fav feature is honestly how little boilerplate

I'm still working on Kavita, an open source, self hosted book/comic media server with a strong focus on metadata. Been in deep developing a custom annotation/highlight system for epubs. Annotation ideas: https://gi

This is similar to how I use Claude (bought a Pro sub this year). I like to group up context into the UI and have it either look over my approach or write some skeleton code, then I do the heavy lifting myself. It's faster for me to do

Why can't this be done with epub? Single file, all files are packed within the zip, no javascript needed but can be included. Allows for markup and forms, just like pdf.

I tried Cursor as I was excited it used Tree Maps for RAG. I tried it for 3 different medium asks on a medium sized project ( https://github.com/Kareadita/Kavita ). I was extremely disappointed. It recreated enum files w

Kavita developer here. Colibri looks great, keep at it. I saw that you support fetching author information, etc, where are you sourcing that information?

This is insane. API looks great, landing page is the best thing I've ever seen and just so feature rich. I wish I had a way to use this in my primary application.

If anyone is interested in helping Kavita, an open source self hosted reading software, finish off the Koreader Sync support, please take a look at this PR. It's 90% complete and just needs some finishing polish. The contributor got bu

It's actually crazy that we don't have a basic typeahead component or tag selector in this day and age with HTML. Every web page I've ever built has needed these components and while there are libraries out there, they all ha

Wow, insane amount of work has just been delivered on the data pack side of things. They have been using this data pack as their promised mod "API", but this update really takes it to another level. Great performance improvements

Does this support OPDS by any chance? I'm the creator of Kavita and one of the biggest pain points is lack of OPDS (and page sync afterwards) with the big reading servers (Kavita, Komga, Calibre). Edit: Found the issue, it's under

Great site, I've been using FontAwesome Free for a long time, but there are times when they just don't have what I need. I'm seeing some really nice packs in here where I can pick just a few svgs for example to meet my needs

or just photoshop. The only thing these tools did was make it easier. I don't think the AI aspect adds anything for this comparison.

Surprisingly this is my first time hearing of PySimpleGUI and it has blown me away. Totally understandable that they are moving to a commercial license, however hobbyist and open source seem to be given a free license, which is great. I

I was thinking the same thing. Why wouldn't this project convert to epub which is easier to pack and much easier to read?

Looks really nice. I wanted to do exactly this with my project Kavita, but have been distracted with other things. I've heard Whisper has great potential and a few of my users have been doing something similar with it. Look forward to

I bought this game after playing the open source variant for some time. It was just what I wanted, because Factorio isn't focused so much on defence, but this is. The game underwent a huge overhaul and is much more fleshed out. I need

Well it's not exactly trivial to build a software as extensive without just being a rip-off and having the share of games at launch. Gamers are extremely picky and it costs tons to build out a scalable system. This is where Epic failed

While I might not be the best as I just joined using .NET for an open source application 2-3 years ago, I did just convince my boss to let me rewrite our (really crappy) Java application with a new version (to enable her 2 year vision) in .

Also use Rider and I don't think there is stagnant development. Their new predictive debugger is a great example of feature improvement. Only downside is the cost of CPU/Memory, as I do IntelliJ for web development and Rider for C

Hey, Kavita creator here and noticed you don't have any mentions of Kavita for epub readers. Kavita is not a Calibre replacement, but has a built-in epub/pdf reader along with some series-based organization. https://www

Canvas has hard caps on the size it can be as well and when resizing an image to a fixed size, there is a lot of hard edges as you need to implement your own smoothing. Image tag is more flexible and versatile.

I'm really excited for epub 3.3's audio book potential or rather read along with me. I have yet to see an example of how this can be implemented, but from the spec, it doesn't look too hard to support.
