An unconventional suggestion: If you are fluent in C & C++, the Tensorow codebase is decent. The kernels are implemented in both CPU & CUDA, so you can have a side-by-side comparison in code and performance without writing the boile

My phone with a replaceable battery... every time I’d drop it or throw it on my bed, the back pops off and battery flies out. It also made things quite a bit thicker for this feature I never used, except to put the battery back in. I’d argu

The real invention is taking technology and packaging it in a human way that takes a baby seconds to learn. I didn’t have to teach my one year old how to swipe photos. Touch screens existed and confounded people for decades. Just watch the

Excluded is the idea that most customers only need low functionality in office software, which would suggest that they aren’t the power user types that even care about add-ons. Bob in finance doesnt care about better spell checking.

I hate paying it... but let’s be honest. Before app stores and the hardware & phone OS’s they run, mobile apps weren’t a thing. The justification is the distribution, curation, promotion, updates, support, etc. The massive infrastructur

As someone that had to deal with Magento in production, it had serious scaling issues. I noticed more than 150 SQL queries to make a single purchase, with an abundance of lock contention issues... enough that they alone will bring a SQL ser

You don't need blockchain to publish ledgers of everyone's financial transactions. That's essentially what's being suggested. If all transactions are public record, then laundering money is difficult. Yep. That's tr

I hope not. My experience with GraphQL is that it's amazing in the hands of competent developers. When used by a slightly less than average developer, great problems will occur. Regardless, lots will likely jump on this bandwagon. I&#x

While I'm fond of Delphi & Pascal, I can't honestly believe it's in the top 10 of popularity. It should be, but these days, I fear Brainfuck & Whitespace has a bigger developer community.

So many companies I've interviewed for are rushing toward microservices and containerization as the cure to all problems. The problem is that the champions often have no clue what any of this means. I recently spoke with a company that

To use Microsoft's Win32 implementation, is to use Windows. lol. The Win32 API is an entrypoint to the OS. It's a bit more than an interface to the kernel. Like saying .NET is the kernel. The kernel is important, but it's a t

Webassembly doesn't require you to install Oracle software, or lag your computer for 30 seconds while it starts up... And it doesn't require Swing or AWT. So, there are those minor improvements.
