Have you tried changing the density setting? It's a bit hard to find, it's the wheel beneath the page navigation, not the one in the black bar at the top. But personally I have the problem that cozy is too spacy and dense is too dense. Dens

In Germany, I think many dev jobs are around Munich. Stuttgart and the surrounds have a lot of industry-related development, while Frankfurt is the finance hub. In France, Grenoble and Paris are the big hubs as far as I know. But the questi

Germany is the land of tech startups. But not Web technologies. Germany is predominantly engineering based. And the industry is more in the south. Germany is ideal if you want to work on the latest car assistant systems, on technologies for

Very good comment. Why then doesn't Apple make Siri an expensive app to compensate? My iPhone4 batteries will be dead in one year anyway, so I'll have to get a new one. In the meantime, I'd like to get Siri for even 50$ or more. And on my i

The problem of that shortcut? It only works well on English keyboards. Try that on a French or a German one, you have to press Shift additional or even Alt Gr.

Actually it was just an opinion from me, I may have expressed myself a bit wrong on the words. But I suppose it is so. I won't be able to "prove" it as I have no insider access to Google executives. 1. They probably created it like one of t

I'm not sure having costly executive doing secretary work is cost efficient.

In the ground principle, this is right, but I find they miss the compact and efficient (but a bit boring - and unsuprising in keynotes) list system. Twitter has understood it all.

Also agree with the main points of the parent and yours. But I must admit, as a technician myself, it has always troubled me that a feed is bound to a webpage, thus I never used the RSS icon in the navigator bar. For me, a RSS feed is linke

I guess this is not in the interest of Google to promote free and decentralized information systems - how can they then analyze it and sell ads with that. They rather push a centralized stream à la Google+.

And that would be good in two points. People will sell less on short term, because the cost of selling will be higher. So stocks will be held longer, which will diminish volatility even more and improve the situation for small investors. Wh

The report may have been secret, but the fact hasn't been anymore for quite a few years. Greenspan already mentioned it in his autobiography.

Thumbs up for your comment. I'd like to add on that. Let's take a very prosperous society. Even if all people get wealthier (let's say 2x), which would mean improvement in life quality and all, and 10% of them get massively richer (let's sa

Privacy laws are actually mainly EU wide, which represents more than 300 millions people. Now you could say the US is little compared to China and India, but does it bring much value to the discussion?

Many germans use local mail providers because providers are legally constrained to handle user data better than US providers. EU privacy laws are not such a bad thing. Of course sometimes they are very local judgements happening that makes
