There is somewhat similar concept of Bitrate peeling [1] in Ogg Vorbis. You can drop portion of the stream without transcoding and still be able to decode original audio at lower bitrate. With proper over-the-air modulation and multiplexing

What's the point of removing features such as "menu" from HTML standard? If there are browsers supporting it and webpages using it, would Mozilla (or Google or Microsoft) actually remove those features just because newest sta

I've got similar experience. It turned out my (four letter) domain is one letter away from some other domain and was detected as a typosquatting. Only way to get certificate from them would be to undergo Extended Verification.

Hard disks are surprisingly hard to destroy on-demand. There was a DEF CON 23 talk [1] exploring ways to quickly wipe your servers in situ using physical methods. [1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bpX8YvNg6Y

You can use custom kernel filter on Windows and iptables/netfilter on Linux to allow only one process to access physical interface. I've seen Cisco VPN Client (10 years ago or so) do it - apart from CVPND service, all traffic to&#

ATmega's EEPROM has a lifetime of 100k write/erase cycles. The program stores current time every 10 minutes, giving it ~2 years of lifetime. It looks like the clock will die long before you.
