You can't build on top of any US-affiliated services like Akamai before getting consent. The cookie banner was presented using Akamai, so (naturally) it was done before getting consent. Consent about data processing can be done by thir

I'm very pro-privacy, but I think you made a valid point. Just adding my opinion as a voice. If I understand your example correctly, you refer purely to the point of view of a citizen, not a company. In that case, I think you are right

A virus is introduced just to see if/how much it gets attacked. This correlates with the efficiency against the real virus, inside a human. It has nothing to do with the introduced virus being more or less contagious.

I have no idea why you believe a third dose is just marketing. It is plainly obvious that immunity decreases over time, as is the case for all vaccines against flus and similar. A booster is the normal way to handle it. If there were a way

I don't know about others, but in Vietnam this is the case. It was the universal go-to tool for everything, used by anyone, both countryside and in the city.

It's not that easy I'm afraid. Chinese products were great quality until ~50 years ago, when quantity over quality became a thing.

You mean 2-3mm I assume. That's a common size here in Germany, too. Ticks in Germany are no longer than about 1 cm when saturated, at most. An inch sounds incredible to me - probably a different species?

I agree that Apple's system adds a lot of value. And that's why I believe it can and should compete with other systems. There should be no problem with informing users about other payment options both in- and outside of an app. Bu

I don't think it's entirely false. NCMEC is not a regular non-profit. They have special clearance to do things that regular citizens and non-profits are not allowed to do.

I think you've misunderstood the slide. It says: If we do no other mitigations other than wearing masks (3 variants in the graph), this is what happens. If additional stuff is done, then the risk goes down. It does not say how much, ma

I thought it was common knowledge that the US (esp. industry) for years collaborated with Nazi Germany? Near the time they entered the war, the US propaganda machine worked hard to erase the fact. They were successful, especially after winn

One gives you a chance to win when you are skillful. If you are skillful enough, you will win eventually just by chance. The other may never pay out even if you are 100% accurate. This is a big difference.

True in principle, but afaik the income is usually estimated (it is not measured precisely) a lot lower than its true value for wealthy persons. Still a better idea better than fixed fine amounts, of course.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but were the now common numbers not imported in the same order from Arabic, which writes right to left? So numbers were invented in little endian, and we just forgot to translate their order.
