That's an extremely strong claim to back up with no evidence. The commenter above you has given at least anecdotal evidence of substantial opportunity for fraud, and we already know motive is strong on both sides.

I recall seeing somewhere that Erdely received credible reports of sexual harrassment at schools like Yale, and rejected the stories as not being juicy enough. Calling her a journalist disgraces the entire profession (which hasn't exac

Journalism is one of the worst-compensated jobs there is, relative to the level of education and time investment required. Shilling pre-planned story angles for sugar daddies, on the other hand, pays quite well.

Right, the problem is that if Western countries cracked down on foreign financing and illegal/intolerant BS from ALL religions, mosques would represent 90-99% of total institutions/preachers affected. It would be absolutely the ri

Totally agree, and I would add that critical thinking leads quickly to positions that are not generally accepted.

Very very high chance that this is a marketing piece by SA--this has been their main marketing strategy for awhile. At the same time, the "everybody is doing it angle" is basically true, especially in the cities with lots of attra

The writer thinks of money as something people give to you, and so he's never going to make much of it. He's totally right that no one would mourn a strike of lobbyists or high-frequency traders. But those guys aren't waiting

I know you're being sarcastic, but I DID mean to include those. The right is just as guilty of this outrage game as the left; in some areas the coalitions are such that they gain power from it. In more left-leaning situations, the ou

It's not a result of coddling (or only a bit). Certain groups realized they could gain power by being offended. Once you create that incentive, unchecked, it's game over.
