That provides more information but doesn’t fully answer any of my questions. Things that are still unclear: - GitHub provides an estimate of the prevalence at 0.001%, but doesn’t state how many leaked sessions were actually identified. - Is

I’m very impressed by the level of detail provided in this post mortem, but it leaves me with a few questions. What we know based on this report: - This bug was live in production for at least 3 days. - It was common enough to happen numero

Same thing happened to a Bitbucket account of mine. I know the email and password, but the primary email is under a domain I lost access to. At some point, Bitbucket decided I needed to verify my email in order to sign in. Support was utter

I love these sorts of resources! I just created an "awesome list" [1] to keep track of resources specifically centered around learning by example. I've only got a few so far, several of them being from this thread. Contributi

I don’t know much about this topic, but is it possible that ECC memory is more prone to single bit errors than non-ECC memory because there is less pressure on companies to minimize such errors? If this were the case, it would skew the data

I don’t disagree with your logic, but I want you to re-read your third paragraph and then to honestly consider the realities of the people who are most negatively affected by wealth inequality.

I was hoping it would infer the structure automatically, quite unfortunate that this seems to require annotations to get any real value out of it. I wonder if it could be adapted to use something like ctags/LSP/tree-sitter for tha

This gave me the warm fuzzies and I’m not sure how I feel about that. If I already feel a twinge of empathy for some soulless robots, where are we going to be a few years down the road when this phenomenon is more actively exploited?
