It's also a total gut-punch to employees. "We had a great quarter!... not a good enough though, so GTFO" I can only imagine what this will do to morale. If even positive quarters means job cuts, why even try to have a positiv

How complex of tasks can you give it? Seems, not to be punny, super basic. Can it do complex tasks like "pick up socks from room A, drive to room B, and put in basket"? Is the intention to allow hobbyists to do actual work with it

Additionally, to my knowledge, China is also doing significantly better on energy production and clean energy at that versus the US. In the US, we are terrified of nuclear and the administration is trying to make economically worse energy p

Yeah, I mean, not to be a complete a-hole but isn't that what an economy is? All of us just selling to each other in an infinite circle. It's all made-up.

As others have said, LLM generation of code is no excuse for not self-reviewing, testing, and understanding their own code. It's a tool. I still have the expectation of people being thoughtful and 'code craftspeople'. The onl

I love using emojis but can't stand what it has turned into. I have a Boomer opinion when it comes to emojis: there are just too many. At some point we need to cut a lot of emojis or come up with a better way to insert them into conver

Either I am mistaken that Walmart was offering store associate type jobs or the author doesn't realize Walmart has software engineering teams. Quite a few non-tech companies have very hip, modern, and high-power tech teams behind them.

Personally, I think US banking needs something an Uber or AirBnB style shake-up to get their act in order. It's awful how behind the times the US is when it comes to banking. 2 - 3 days to get money from one account to another is beyon

Sometimes won't work, especially larger sites. I used to run a service that was using Twilio to do exactly what OP is asking. These sites often flag and block all phone numbers that are virtual or prepaid.

I strongly believe that we are going to see many brands hit L4 and L5 before 2030. Multiple manufacturers seem to be circling on the same advancements and leaps, they all seem to be working with each other to get regulations in place for th

Yes, that is really the problem. The landing page is just a smorgasbord of things to rile you up, distract you, draw you in, etc. I've tried filtering it, I've tried unsubscribing to all subreddits save for a few, nothing worked.
