I completely agree with this premise. Nowhere is it more obvious than in OSS companies. There is no open source business model that cannot be disrupted by the cloud bigs which also include Microsoft.

Days are numbered for infra software detached from a cloud provider. Cloud Foundry and VMware folding (partnering with Google Cloud) is a good indicator that there is no clear path forward. So Kubernetes on prem or custom rolled on a cloud

I feel this is the beginning of the end of instacart. Amazon is getting into same day delivery big time with this. Now they own the grocery warehouses to drive the end to end supply chain.
