Those are very kind words - thank you! It's been a labour of love for us over the last few years but we're at a point where this product really works now and so it's great to see the positive response. That's a really in

Thank you! The headset is supported on iPhone 11 and later - it's just the capture of spatial video that's only supported on the iPhone 15 Pro/Max. In case that helps with your purchasing decision ;-D

Thank you! We do correct for this in the app - it's quite a complicated process because we only have a single 'monocular' camera image which we have to compose with 3D content. We use some tricks to render the camera in a way

The app we provide allows you to view video (including spatial video) from your Photos library, but any app with a 'Google Cardboard' mode (showing left eye content on the left of the screen and right on the right) should work. We

Yeah we've been thinking about a headset-only version too :-) The advantage of the controllers is they have 'Quest compatible' inputs - so content built for Quest can be ported with minimal fuss. That said there's many u

Hi! We're aiming for early next year for general support for Zapbox content on Android, although for a variety of technical reasons it's a real challenge. We are very much committed to Android support though! Support for spatial v

It reminds me of that bit in Back To The Future 3 where someone in the 1800s is astonished that people run for fun in the future.

I think part of the challenge is that no ground is knowably stable. Since very few of us are shipping products that we've built from the atoms up we do have to rely on platforms provided by others. Everywhere you look there's unce

For the most part (although there are important exceptions), IFR flights are always in radar contact with a controller. The flight plan is tool allows ATC and the plane to agree a route so that they don't have to be constantly communic

For me it's important to consider the 'ATC system' as the whole. The system as a whole did not fail - no planes crashed, flights still flew - but it was in a degraded state with lower than usual throughput. One component of t

I'm just speculating as to what points are actually added but typically the flight plan includes 'airways' in addition to waypoints. Here's an example of a plan for London Gatwick (EGKK) to Edinburgh (EGPH): ``` EGKK

Perhaps the place I use it most is that try/catch is how you deal with rejected promises that you've `await`ed in an `async` function.

We encountered a relatively major regression during the iOS 16.4 beta which unfortunately went live with the release version of 16.4. Requesting an 'environment-facing' camera using getUserMedia now provides the ultra-wide camera

My original point, which I perhaps haven't articulated well, is this. 1. The human brain has outputs (e.g. creative works, or even just movements of limbs etc) 2. The human brain has inputs (e.g. the light landing on retinas, the DNA a

I don't mean that the brain is materially a computer in the sense we're used to computers in our day-to-day. That would be demonstrably false. Just as we can show humans are not formed from clay we can show humans are not formed o

This is a good point :-) I suppose if we gradually evolve language over time then we amortise and reduce any cost. I don't think we necessarily need to go around rewriting any books for most issues - but if this blog author (and others
