I tried using PowerShell or Hyper. But these are just so slow to start. So I'm always coming back to cmd.exe. It is fast and serves my basic needs just perfect. When I need more, I just type 'bash'. And bash also starts faste

Looks good so far. The Microsoft Surface Precision mouse still works in Bluetooth mode. Now I can definitely recommend this mouse. Tomorrow I'll test the Microsoft Surface mouse, AKA Microsoft Modern mouse.

While I do like Apple and their integrated hardware/software platform (see my problems with Dell XPS 15 reported in another comment), this also shows the problems with a monopole producer of macOS hardware. I still run a 2009 iMac and

Update: - So the bluetooth issue may be fixed with some stupidly hidden Windows setting in the device manager. - I forgot to mention that 3 of our XPS 9550 had their trackpad (and battery) replaced after the batteries inflated and pushed th

My trackpad broke too, because the battery was inflating and pushed it out of the case... Got a free replacement though.

Or dear! I tried about everything possible but didn't think it could be related to such a generic setting! Found this article that shows where it is: https://www.howtogeek.com/189856/ask-htg-how-can-i-keep-my-b...

Have a look at LIFX. They allow you to set the light temperature you want. I've replaced almost all lights with their LIFX mini (color) and couldn't be happier.

Have a look at 1password.com and their family plan, so you can admin your parents too, in case they forget their master password. Can’t recommend this enough. Edit: If that helps, Troy Hunt and other security guys are also using 1password

I have an iPhone X and never used this feature except for showing it to the kids. But hey, I never thought of using it without talking! Sounds like a great idea to create personal emoji as you say. I'll give it a try.

I fully agree on the need for action. But I don't get why IoT should get a special treatment compared to outdated smartphones, PCs, Macs and even video game consoles. Any device that connects to a network is a potential target. So wh

I totally agree, though a MacBook Pro (note the Pro) with all these ports is a legitimate option. It's a similar situation as with the old Mac Pro and the new Mac Pro. Luckily they realized the problem. Honestly, Apple has the funds

Having purchased SuperDuper! in Mai 2008 for 30$ and still getting free updates for such a great tool has me slightly worrying... I really salute that, but wonder how sustainable such a business model is.

Full ACK. Even without a case it never is or was a problem. It's just a little weird. However, the notch is indeed problematic when the iPhone X is used in landscape mode (tested on simulator).
