Chapulines[1], a form of fried grasshopper, are already a popular dish in Oaxaca. I've had them, they're tasty, a bit like salty, earthy, not very meaty crab I guess. In fact, there's already a cricket bar based off of this d

Seen this a few times before, but I am always entertained on reread and enjoy the reminder that sometimes you need a scalpel and other times a sledgehammer.

The best analogy I heard for communicating this to superiors is that programming is like doing a crossword puzzle. 95% of the time you're doing a crossword you're not writing but that doesn't mean you're not intensely wo

Of course, I should have deduced that. Is the harpoon expected to go deep enough to prevent this from happening?

Yes, dropped for v.4. Both are good frameworks and these new versions look great, but considering I prefer SASS to LESS I don't think I'll be switching back to Bootstrap any time soon.

This is not meant to be snarky, but what's the point of this? What use does the pattern being uniquely generated from a SHA of a distinct string have over a random pattern being generated from a SHA of some random string?

Funny and true, but this is a separate case. We're not talking about implementing a new standard, we're talking about easing development on your next project.

I like this in concept. It's like how major symphony orchestras hire, put a curtain up between the performer and the judges so that the performer is never seen and is assessed solely on the merits of their performance. Interesting to s

I feel for the author, but in reading this detailed post-mortem it's clear to see there was a combination of bad luck, poor planning, and a number of incorrect decisions. Hopefully she learned from them, will correct what she can and r

Noticed that too, was kind of happy about it. For most projects I use uglify or Google Closure Compiler and the like, which it seems to do a good job with. When I really want something obfuscated to make it as difficult as possible for some

I didn't know about the KGS HTML client. Either I should hurry up with my side-project or abandon it, as that's exactly what I'm building (but obviously without the already established KGS user base).
