Relatedly, is there a good open replacement for ADS/Microwave Office? I've seen QUCS/QUCS studio but don't know if there's others out there? Last I looked, the more general SPICE solvers don't support S-param b

You should look up Google's Project Ara. I was really excited for it at the time (2014), but alas, it never made it to market.

In the case of a 0% grace period sure I agree, but otherwise in no world is credit card interest cheaper than a mortgage over the same time period.

Agreed the algorithm is significantly flawed. I often have the experience of being interested in a one-off video, but don't watch it because I don't want to pollute the algorithm recommendations with similar stuff.

The article mentions SiGe at the Sherman site, which is an RF node. These are usually at 22-100+ nm scale, so "mature" or "foundational" compared to 2nm stuff, but the really tight nodes aren't always inherently bet

Very impressed! In the past when I've asked chatGPT for styling / design stuff, it makes technically correct CSS, but with terrible design sense. This made a functional color palette, appropriate decorators, and cohesive style --

I mean, if a mega corp like Google or Amazon had plus/minus 10% of their headcount, as a lay observer I don't think I'd really be able to detect the difference in output either. That doesn't mean it isn't a real pro

I could imagine the specific combination where the shapes colors match the original could get into trademark territory, as the colors have no in-game requirement to be those specific values.

Lots of people talking about how this looks like 2000's clipart, (and I'm not here to disagree) but seems like no one is talking about how these appear to be full 3D models that can be manipulated. AirBnb is actually being fairly

Nice idea. I worked for a while on a "computer blue book", e.g. to answer the question how much a laptop of given specs should cost. For something like laptops, I recommend providing the option to look at a CPU benchmark score.

I'm getting mixed results with the co-drawing demo, in terms of understanding what stick figures are, which seems pretty important for the 99% of us who can't draw a realistic human. I was hoping to sketch a scene, and let the mod

I was hoping they'd have a discussion of the algorithm itself. Quanta is usually good about making these sorts of things approachable. In any case, the full paper is here [1] if you don't want to scroll through the Wired article.
