Somehow TiVo made it all these years on the premise of dodging ads. Not 1:1, but it gives hope.

Depending on how much 'project' we're leaning, this misses the rather large pool of funds that is SBIR. Not easy, or fast, but can put some oomph behind a project.

Yes, it seems deaths are the most reliable indicator we have (though even this is limited [0]). Looking at highly sampled cases (SK and Diamond Princess) seems to indicate a net fatality rate of 1%. Thinking about the cohort of infections e

Which I think is roughly what the numbers have been showing so far--debatably an upper bound, given the under-availability of testing.

How is the contrast? Videos I've seen of it I can barely see the writing.

Same boat--annoying overlap that anxiety causes the same symptom. Luckily I've always worked from home, so have been pretty well isolated.

What's the writing resolution like? My problem has always been that I write really small, so most tablets feel pudgy. I've long thought about getting one of these, but don't want to shell out $500 if I can't comfortably

Yup, this is what I do. Battery lasts forever. Since I get most of the books off Project Gutenberg, there wouldn't be any slick wifi transfers for me anyway.

Do you have a source for 80-90% collapse in China? That sounds way high. Also 3000 confirmed cases does not mean 3000 actual infections. Depending on the model, the expected number is orders of magnitude higher.

This is the niche nextdoor.com tries to fill. It's pretty hyper-local, I see a lot of posts about crime and such on my and neighboring streets.

This reminds me of an app a friend of mine made for finding and coordinating volunteers: https://pointapp.org/ It's focused on non-skilled volunteering, but would seem easy enough to add and match qualifiers (e.g. medi

Personally yes, I think that'd be fair. Similar to how I don't pay my patent lawyer or even accountant monthly. Presumably many things change as a business grows, but this is a (very) small business perspective. Related, what happ

Having recently been through this, I appreciate the push to support small business in what is a confusing and stressful area of administration. Inherent support for distributed teams is also a nice perk. As others have mentioned, the high c

With 22dBi they're quoting, it'd have to be all Tx or all Rx. Unless they're conflating amplifier gain in there, which sometimes happens.

The antennas are practically free; the cost comes from phase shifters, amplifiers, etc, which don't see much miniaturization benefit at high frequencies. One day $1 per element is feasible, but definitely not today.
