It's hard for me to follow your argument. > By “bar”, I mean that most hiring practices are crap. Agreed. > People pretend that it’s skills-based, but it’s skills-based with a bias toward people like yourself. Presumably, you mea

I really wanted to love this machine but couldn't find one that wasn't a lemon. Went through 3 of them. A well-specced model with 4k screen, 16GB memory, and 512GB SSD. First had a bad screen, second had sticky keys, and third had

And I predict the posters on that wall will be replaced for every generation. The simple logical flaw with the notion that robots will render human beings useless: okay, then who makes the robots better? Who designs them? Who helps them? Wh

I used the farming example because it's the most accessible one, but labor shifts happen all the time. This is far from a sample size of 1. Don't take my comments as a proclamation that "NOTHING SHALL CHANGE, AS THERE IS NO N

Still, the concept of robots killing jobs forever is exaggerated. AI is incredible and only going to become even more incredible. But the creativity of the human spirit will always reign supreme. A robot cannot start a new venture to fill a

Yeah, if you're talking about underemployment, that's a huge issue, but I think that's more market-driven than skills-driven. People are generally over-qualified than under-qualified. Too many people are taking on obscene lev
