Anyone else notice the link in the article to inc.com https://www.inc.com/business-insider/best-google-benefits.ht... doesn't work because inc.com got breached and shut down their website temporarily?

The way the article reads it's not clear if the US sabotaged software that was ultimately stolen by the Russians and used on pipelines or if the US intentionally and covertly transferred the flawed technology through more legitimate ch

>>This won't do anything from your IPv6 only machine, those are IPv4 addresses. Yup you are correct. (At least for me). I just tried it from my ipv6-only vhost. [www@localhost ~]$ ping6 ::ffff:8.8.8.8 connect: Network is unreach

Interesting. So if I pinged ::ffff:10.20.30.40 from an IPv6-only machine, what address would 10.20.30.40 see the ping coming from?

Assuming quantum computers some day can perform n number of parallel computations, where n approaches an exceptionally large number, can someone explain (like I am five) how elliptic curves could thwart the brute forcing keys/messages?

I came to a similar conclusion. Something like 0000:0000:0010:0020:0030:0040 or (::0010:0020:0030:0040) probably wouldn't be the most elegant solution but it would have been a nice bridge between ipv4 and ipv6. However, the IPv4 system

If you are talking about in video sponsorship segments, how does sponsorblock know when they start or end? Are creators required to tag their sponsorship segments with timestamps somewhere?

When I read about quantum computing I can't help but think of the talk given by D-wave founder Geordie Rose. He describes quantum computers as devices that perform calculations simultaneously across parallel universes. https:/&#x

old.reddit.com is my go to. I still prefer HN's UI. It's slightly better. And I'm with you, when old.reddit.com goes away, so will I.

I wish I could apply the current HN format to websites with dumpster fire UIs. Zerohedge comes to mind, and perhaps even Reddit (which isn't as bad)

If it's legal, you're okay. I like how you stated this. Conversely as you drop down the consumer chain to lets say a free service (eg twitter) the terms of service becomes markedly more complex and onerous.

I was thinking the same thing as I was reading the wiki -- this event could make for an absurd but fantastic movie. And yes, filmed in the style of "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" would be especially entertaining.

I think this applies to spirituality as a whole and not just religion. I have also heard experiences with ayahuasca and DMT also result in a reduction of ego and a realization that you're one piece of a vast connected consciousness.
