I think they forgot the bit about withdrawing free transport for school children and pushing it onto the local councils to pay for instead.

Disagree. Just got rid of my second screen after neck aches and headaches. I’ll take one decent sized (27” for me) 4K screen over two. Completely solved all problems. Productivity? I can only focus on one thing at a time. Managing windows a

Yep only thing I see is in powershell: "Try the new cross-platform PowerShell https://aka.ms/pscore6" There were a few pre-installed apps but that's completely normal to be honest. If you go in a shop and buy

Quite frankly a lot more than this. The reason is that at the end of the day I need to be productive. While I viciously oppose this sort of stuff, I've turned off enough of it not to be bothersome and what is left is an extremely relia

Yes that’s the IDE I use as well with WSL2 on windows 10. Weird that windows turned out to be the best Linux distribution I have used. Ive got an 8 core Ryzen 3700x desktop with 32G of RAM and I can bring that to its knees easily. It’s ridi

Completely. A lot of people I have worked with have no idea what NUMA even is whole having NUMA machines. It’s just a magic box. Zero understanding of the hardware architecture at all.

Slack is definitely malware feeling territory. The amount of juice it requires feels like it’s running a crypto mining operation in the background.

G Suite is a shit show. Had major problems with a trial. Firstly it would just redirect back to the admin console if I hit gmail. Support couldn’t fix it. Also you can’t give anyone access to YouTube (!) for 60 days after signing up or payi

Actually that’s wrong. There are plenty of poor quality third party spares out there for vehicles. Lucas here made a whole business out of it.

At the time I had three phones on the go for testing. My main handset at the time was an iPhone. I’ve explained this in more detail in another post.

It was a Moto G (3 I think) I sent in for repair under warranty after it kept overheating. They triggered the water label, refused to fix it and held it until I’d paid a £30 ransom charge. It wasn’t economical for them to fix it so they bro

Aye so you can suffer through shitty half arsed third party repairers who either write your phone off as water damaged even though it wasn’t (thanks Motorola) or glue it back together because they broke all the clips opening it (thanks dude

I suggest you look for more than just arthritis related information. The amount of mechanical wear it causes is significant over time. That is not to say it doesn't have benefits but to suggest the entire population can haul their arse

Better plan for all the hip and knee replacements. Nothing is utopia. In fact any utopia is probably a dystopia.

I mostly agree. Windows gives me less of an ass ache from a desktop perspective. At this point it mostly just works and does so a lot better than any Linux desktop I’ve used in the last 20 years or so. On the server side I’d rather be burn

Or buy Siglent SDS1202X-E. 200MHz and protocol decoders out of box with no hacks, intensity grading and the UI isn't laggy as hell (have used both extensively)
