Not to try and "King Solomon" it, but couldn't you make it a user profile option to display comment points? Personally, I think it's better now that they are not displayed, but if it reverts back to displaying them, I'd be happy to just not

I use DynDNS for all my Registrar and DNS-related stuff; I couldn't be happier with them. Whenever I change a record, it populates hella-fast; and considering how wishy-washy I am about sticking with an email provider, it's very helpful.

I tried to add information about how Node.js is now part of the webOS SDK, but then it complained that someone else was now editing it. And there was the first time I've ever tried to edit a Wikipedia page.

Crowdbooster is a YC company right? They should totally implement a feature for the best time to submit an HN article like they do currently do with the best time to tweet. If you just polled new submissions and cataloged the number of upvo

"I'd live my life much differently if I thought my brain would rot at age 50." Not to get all Carpe Diem on you, but I'd suggest if this is true, you should probably re-evaluate your life. Whether your brain starts to rot at age 50, or y

Unless said news is titled "Ron Paul Proves P ≠ NP" or "Ron Paul's New Haskell Book: 'Legislature Isn't The Only Place Where Side-Effects Are Evil' Review", I'm not particularly worried.

I know this isn't a tech support forum, but in a fit of lunacy I figured I'd give Acme a try last night (the Acme-SAC version) and after using it for an hour of so I can't even figure out how to open a text file (it seems like it has its ow

No, I think you're right, it seems like there's a discrepancy between the protocol specification and the implementation (I suppose it's not the first time that's happened). Some quick Googling turns up a lot of people who complain about lat

At least as relating to WCDMA/UMTS, I don't think it's technically TCP over TCP. TCP is encapsulated in PDCP for the wireless portion of the transmission, and the header's are compressed to hell (using RFC 2507). On the CDMA and CDMA2000 si

I can think of another; as long as we're delving into "completely hyptothetical" territory: In the one-way-transfer example I listed, don't think "big company"; think "who besides a company might need a one-way-transfer". Maybe they're more

I think that could be interesting then. One thing that can make it more useful than ZDI is that you lower the barrier of acceptance for a bug. In ZDI, you send them the bug, they decide if they want to buy it from you, and if you accept, th

How would this differ from a site like the Zero Day Initiative? (aside from that it looks like there's much less hassle to use this system; or maybe that's actually the point). I think this is interesting, but the two "types of vendors" I s

I'm curious if you liked Lorenz's book more (The Essence of Chaos). As someone woefully unqualified to critique either, I'd be interested in the opinion of someone closer to the subject matter.
