Hell, photographers know that any iPhone can't compete a midrange camera. But Apple clearly wants the average person to believe that it can. Why else stick a "pro" description to your phone's camera? Of course they can&#

Essentially repeating the same BS analogies with the "would you steal a car" campaign 20 years ago. The commercial success of movies is measured at the cinema screenings. This is implicitly accepted even by studios. When a film is

TBH this is the first time I've heard about Elm, the language. I was wondering why nobody else had made the joke, so I took a stab at it.

I sense a generation gap here. csail-related is a closed mailing list. If you disagree with a point, you are expected to come back with some arguments. Not to leak emails out with zero effort in making a discussion. That's the establis

Not sure if where you were serviced, but Apple Store Amsterdam is terrible. It has devolved to another Leidseplein tourist trap: if you don't plan to spend money, you're wasting their time. For any serious issues, I take the bus t

Can someone explain what's the purpose of this remapping? Is this for MacBook Pro models with a Touch Bar, or is it something else altogether? In the former case, a better title would be "Map Escape to Caps Lock".

I'm not sure about other fields, but most theses in computer science these days are usually a stitch-up of your papers + some glue text/backstory. I.e. 80% of your thesis is already in LaTeX format. Org Mode only adds complexity t

The Electron bloat of Polar buys you much better cross-platform features than the KDE bloat of Okular. Okular is ok as long as you run only linux. In theory you could run it also on macOS or Windows, but you have to jump through the hoops.
